Standing at the top of the steps of the Victory of Samothrace in the Louvre Museum, I watch the stairs below and the visitors going up and down, sometimes alone, sometimes in groups. This scene that scrolls before my eyes gradually loses its original meaning, the visitors become dark masses that move on horizontal lines.
